artist.

My mother spoke silent poems
in her office
when she wanted to create
a life for us.

  1. Wow,
I found your blog on Faun.
I'm not sure what you mean by this poem, but my interpretation of it speaks deeply to my Mom's "poetry" as well.
    Great blog.

  2. Thanks so much! Sometimes I think of my mom (who doesn't read poetry or write) as an artist, who has dedicated her life to making a good life for her children.

  3. T Rex,
I've almost never heard someone young put it so well. I am 35 years old, and still have a great freindship with my mom. But I must admit that a young womans relationship with her mom is one of the most nuanced things on the planet. So difficult to say everything... given what there is to say!
    Hail to the generous daughter.
